Configuring Wireless 802.1x on Windows 2012R2

I found this little thing on my pc that I did almost three years ago.

In this guide we will go through the steps required for getting 802.1x authentication up and running on a single server that only has the domain controller role installed.

It’s actually the first video guide I did and looking through it just confirms that it’s a good thing I did it, because I had actually forgotten a couple of the steps involved.

So if you ever find yourself in need of configuring wireless authentication on a legacy platform, you can revisit this guide πŸ™‚

Things to note:

If not obvious, this is a clean lab deployment and obviously not all steps are best practices (i.e. I wouldn’t recommend installing the CA on the DC)
